Animals unique to Costa Rica's fauna would usually be found in the tropical rainforests which occupies majority of the island's natural resources. They can be found in almost all regions but specific species can be found in some parts only. Hummingbirds are also presently living along the coasts and at different regions of Costa Rica where there are a lot of growing vegetation and flowers. A species of the hummingbird include the Scintillant hummingbird which is very unique among the Costa Rica animals inhabiting the forests.
