Spanish Lessons
My mom is not that happy when she found out I was traveling to Costa Rica. She is paranoid about visiting countries like this and she wanted me to learn Spanish before I get there. But I don't have all the time to do that. I was thinking maybe I can learn when I get there. Can you recommend any tutors?

RE: Spanish Lessons
I can tell that your mom is having a hard time on you Mickey. Whatever reason your mom has I think that you can always learn Spanish in your own way. I mean it is not that hard to understand them anyways. But if you really want one, ask your tour guide or at the reception of your hotel. They will surely know what to do.

RE: Spanish Lessons
Spanish is not that difficult to understand and comprehend yet it takes time to speak it fluently. I enjoyed speaking in Spanish because they have this accent that makes you feel that you are really in a Caribbean country.

Can you recommend any tutors? There is no problem with that, as soon as you reach Costa Rica you can enroll Spanish courses available in Flamingo Beach, Monteverde Mountain Rain Forest, San Joaquin de Flores, San José and Samara Beach. The locals or natives in Costa Rica can teach you while you're there. The schools also organise an extensive activities program, consisting of activities, visits and excursions, scuba diving, turtle watching trips, beach barbeques and many more! This cultural program helps students to explore Costa Rica, enjoy themselves and also learn about life and nature in Costa Rica. |

RE: Spanish Lessons
Oh. Just wondering, are the Ticos not that fluent with english? I think they are? Maybe you can just speak to them through english. You'll learn their language when you have already immersed yourself with them. I think spanish is easy to learn to though.

I think they can understand english but it would also be nice to learn their native tongue though. You'll have a better communication with when you know some of their words. I agree,it is easy to learn their language. |
