RE: surfing
hi i am a local here and there are tons of great places to surf! there are many places to stay you could get a cabaina on the beach for $10 or stay at one of the more named hotels or resorts. If you drive your car to the beach i would reccomend not leaving any vauleables in the car and make sure you have your passport and drivers lincese bc the police just wait for speeders. I would recommend waking up early to surf tho bc usually by 11am the beaches are full with swimmers and surfers. hope this helps you out some

RE: surfing
Costa Rica is filled with many nice beaches; I have lots of surfer friends trying to convince me in joining them. I believe they are gonna check out the Guanacaste Coast because they've got the best waves there. I think you should try it surfer01.

Hotel Balcon del Mar is hotel located at Playa Hermosa. They offer surfing tutorials and surf board rentals. They also have good affordable rooms you can check in.

RE: surfing
Is it safe to go surfing in Costa Rica? Because I am really afraid of sharks that maybe present in the beach. Are there any standby lifeguards on the beach?
